Limor Holla
I am a Registered Paediatric Occupational Therapist, a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapy (CAOT) and the College of Occupational Therapy of British Columbia (COTBC). I am also on the Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP) List of the Ministry of Child & Family Development (MCFD).
My Approach to Occupational Therapy
I have a passion for working with children of all ages. Long before I became an Occupational Therapist, I worked as a daycare provider, and as an Educational Assistant in Victoria, which gave me a broader understanding of children and the systems they interact with.
I am able to connect with children by focusing on sensory-integration principles. I also use sensory-motor learning; visual perception; child development; psychology; and cognitive-behavioural and social thinking approaches, with a family or child-centred emphasis.
I have worked as an occupational therapist both abroad and in Canada for over two decades—assessing, treating, and providing consultation and support to children and their caregivers.
I have helped children develop in all areas of function and occupations, within a playful learning, semi-structured, calm, and creative atmosphere.
I am loving, compassionate, warm, caring, discreet and reliable; with good clinical judgment, knowledge and problem-solving skills. In my private life, I am a mother of two and a wife, who enjoys reading, nature, hikes, exercising, travelling, music and arts.
